1. How do I open the Fast Windows Hider main screen?

There are few ways to open the main screen. First – press the hotkeys (SHIFT+F11 by default). Second – right click on the tray icon and select Options. Third – open from the installation folder or the Windows Program Menu.

2 How to correctly use the program?

To correctly configure Fast Windows Hider you should:
1. Set strings for windows you want to hide.
2. Press the hotkeys (SHIFT+F12 by default).
There two ways to set strings for the windows you want to hide. First way is: Open the windows (application, files, folders, documents) and take a look at them titles (the stripe in the top part of the screen). Write these strings in the Hide List of Fast Windows Hider. Press Save to save the changes. Now you can press the hotkeys (SHIFT+F12 by default) to hide and the windows will disappear from the screen. For example: the window title is "doc1-Microsoft Word". Type «doc1» and press the hotkeys doc1 will be hidden.
Second way is: Open windows you want to hide. Their titles will appear on the main screen of Fast Windows Hider in the Opened Windows list. Now double click on the needed windows in the list and they will copy to Hide List.
Ones configure the program and can hide windows at any time by one click or the hotkeys.

If you want to hide a whole group of windows, for example, all windows of "Internet Explorer". You should enter in Hide List a common string for all windows (a common part of the title). For Internet Explorer it can be "internet". Because all of them contain the word "internet" in the titles.

3. How do I register the program?

To register Fast Windows Hider you should open the main screen, press the Register button and in the appeared windows enter your license key exactly as it was given to you. Press OK.
If the registration is correct the window of successfully registration will appear. To check your registration press the About button. The About screen will contain your license key if the program has been registered or the information about your trial period.

4. How do I hide a group of windows?

If you want to hide a whole group of windows you should enter in Hide List a common string for all windows (a common part of the title). For Internet Explorer it can be "internet". Because all of them contain the word "internet" in the titles. For Microsoft Word it can be "Microsoft Word", etc.

5. How do I mute sound? Are all sound muted?

To mute sound you should configure Fast Windows Hider. Open the main screen and check Mute Sound when Hide. Click Save to save changes. Now any time when you will hide windows all sound will be muted.

6. How do I change the hotkeys?

Fast Windows Hider allows you to set customizable hotkeys to hide/unhide and open the options. To set the hotkeys open the Fast Windows Hider main screen and in the Hotkeys field press your combinations. Press Save to save the changes.

7. How'd better hide windows by the hotkeys or by the tray icon clicking?

It depends only how it more comfortable for you. Fast Windows Hider equally quickly hides windows as by the hotkeys (SHIFT+F12 by default) as by the tray icon clicking.

8. How do I restore hidden windows?

To restore hidden windows you should do the same actions as for hide: press the hotkeys (SHIFT+F12 by default) or click the tray icon of Fast Windows Hider.

9. Why Fast Windows Hider does not hide one my window while other windows hides normally?

It can be if the name of this window was changed. For example: you want to hide WinAmp and make double click in the Opened Windows list in order to select it. But the window name contains a song name in this moment. So when a next song will play Fast Windows Hider can't hide WinAmp. It does not happen if you type in Hide List a constant part of the windows name. In this example it will be "winamp".

10. Is Fast Windows Hider dangerous for hidden windows?

No. Fast Windows Hider does not close and change any hidden windows. You should not worry about the hidden windows just press the hotkeys (SHIFT+F12 by default) and Fast Windows Hider restricts them without any losses on the same place.

11. After two weeks Fast Windows Hider has stopped to work. Why?

Fast Windows Hider is not free software. The trial period is 14 days. After it you need to purchase the license key to continue using Fast Windows Hider or uninstall the program from your computer.

12. I have hidden the tray icon of Fast Windows Hider and don't remember the hotkeys to open the main dialog. Where can I find the program?

First way: Click Start -> Programs -> Fast Windows Hider
Second way: Go to the installation folder (C:\Program Files\Fast Windows Hider by default) and click fwh.exe.

13. Where has the program disappeared? I don't see the tray icon.

This can be in few ways:
1. You have hidden the tray icon of Fast Windows Hider
2. The program does not run.
